In the early 1970's the management of a large Japanese dealership network, Yokohama Toyopet, recognized the advantages of a presence in the North American segment of the automotive market. After considering many alternatives and working closely with C.M.I. (Canadian Motor Industries), our parent company established a dealership in Canada at 3120 Steeles Avenue East, on the north east border of Metropolitan Toronto.

On October 5th, 1973, Don Valley North Toyota Limited became an Ontario based corporation with Yokohama Toyopet being its largest shareholder. Our Head Office is in Yokohama, Japan's second largest city.

As we grow, meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations remains of paramount importance. Growth on this scale, coupled with ongoing changes in our customers needs, demands that we constantly monitor all aspects of our business and implement improvements whenever possible.

Today, Don Valley North Toyota continues to be Canada's #1 volume dealer and we are proud to be respected as one of the country's leading automotive dealers. Our array of honors over the years include Toyota National Pride Award Winner for Sales achievements, Toyota Gold Quality Dealer Award for Ontario CADA Laureate for 2006 Retailer of the Year, and numerous Consumers Choice Gold Award for Business Excellence.
